James [Jim] C. Taylor is a
Partner at Paine Edmonds. He graduated from the University of British Columbia
Law School in 1971 and was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1972. He is
also admitted as a member of the Yukon Law Society. Jim is a member of various
sections of the Canadian Bar Association, an associate member of the American
Bar Association, a member of the Defence Research Institute and the Federation
of Insurance and Corporate Counsel. He has lectured on various insurance
related topics and has been a guest panelist at the Law Society of British
Columbia Liability Loss Prevention Seminar, Insurance Sub-section meetings and
client seminars.
Jim's practice involves all matters affecting
insurance coverage, defence and subrogation. Since 1972, he has represented
insurers covering all aspects of insurance law. He has acted as counsel at the
trial and appellate levels, as well as at administrative tribunals, mediations
and arbitrations.
