John J. Hyde was born in
Edmonton, Alberta in 1955. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the
University of Alberta in 1978, his Master of Arts (English) from the University
of Toronto in 1981 and his LL.B., also from the University of Alberta in 1984
and was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1985.
He is a member of
the Civil Litigation and Insurance Law sub-sections of the Canadian Bar
Association and a member of the Canadian Defence Lawyers and the British
Columbia Trial Lawyers Association.
John has extensive trial experience
in various areas of insurance litigation. His practice includes all aspects of
insurance defence work, mediation and arbitration. He has been instrumental in
establishing claims management and prevention initiatives for several corporate
clients.
