Lyle is a senior partner at Paine Edmonds LLP.  His practice reflects his vast knowledge and experience in the field of insurance litigation.  As a senior member of the firm’s Insurance Litigation Group, his preferred areas of practice involve insurance coverage disputes, fraud, product liability cases, construction liability and professional negligence.  Lyle also handles general litigation cases including personal injury claims.  Among his clients are major national and international insurance brokers, insurance corporations, and insurance corporations.

Lyle has appeared as counsel on arbitrations and mediations as well as in the Supreme Court of Canada, the Court of Appeal of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia and regulatory tribunals.

Lyle has held the AV rating awarded by Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating for 25 years.

Prior to joining Paine Edmonds LLP in 1964, Lyle worked with the Insurance Company of North America.  He is a distinguished and well-respected member of the British Columbia Bar as reflected by his appointment as Queen’s Counsel in 1982.  Lyle enjoys travelling and photography.
